Finding your next favourite programme on Netflix has just become much easier. The streaming platform has unveiled a new tool designed especially for fans of fiction. Here's a closer look.

Attention, loyal Netflix users! The famous American streaming platform has enhanced its interface with a new feature aimed at making it easier to discover films and television series. On Tuesday 2 June, Netflix launched a new section called 'Watch the Adaptations of Your Favourite Books'. Available online at netflix.com/books, this feature allows users to explore the catalogue through the books that inspired the films and series available on the entertainment giant. Subscribers can therefore start with a literary world and discover its screen adaptation.

Nine reader profiles to guide Netflix users

Netflix has organised this library around nine reader profiles, designed to help users browse according to their individual tastes. Some profiles highlight memorable characters, while others focus on immersive worlds or plot-driven stories full of twists and turns.

There are also categories dedicated to romance, non-fiction, historical narratives, family adventures, manga and graphic novels, as well as web stories.

Well-established titles already in the catalogue

Netflix is also using this showcase to remind viewers of the wide range of literary adaptations already available on the platform. Subscribers can enjoy titles such as the Twilight saga, the series Gossip Girl, the film The Green Mile, and the acclaimed drama The Handmaid’s Tale.

Several productions based on novels by Harlan Coben are also featured in the catalogue, alongside the hit series Lupin, starring French actor Omar Sy. The latter is set to continue its story with a new season expected to arrive this autumn.
