Gary Neville has warned Manchester United that they must deal with the Cristiano Ronaldo situation quickly.

The Portuguese has made it clear through the press that he wishes to depart the Old Trafford stadium club.

Ronaldo is not at pre-season training with United, citing family reasons for his absence.

However, reports have also stated that despite interest from Chelsea, the Red Devils are very reluctant to sell Ronaldo this summer.

"The only important factor with the Ronaldo situation is that it's dealt with decisively and quickly," United legend Neville tweeted.

"This can't be a saga that takes the focus away from ETH [new boss Erik tne Hag] bedding in period for the next two months."
