Kota Kinabalu: Transparency and green business, centralised special database, and mechanism to support the office of the BIMP-EAGA Sabah Special Envoy are among the priorities of newly appointed BIMP-EAGA Business Council (BEBC) Sabah Chairman Dr Raymond Alfred.

Others include integrated business development plan, communication among stakeholders, technical solution and recommendations to promote cooperation among BIMP-EAGA players and information communication technology (ICT).

Elaborating briefly on the priorities, Dr Raymond said transparent and green business is established in BIMP EAGA landscape through the implementation of Certification Programme Mechanism while centralised spatial database for all business entities is established to allow exchange of information and improve supply-chain mechanism.

Raymond whose appointment took effect from Sept 1 said mechanism to support Special Envoy is established for Specific policies that required country-to-country synchronisation and harmonisation.

Dr Raymond was appointed as State Expert (Sustainability and Green Initiative) in Sabah State Project Study to formulate Sabah State Biodiversity Policy 2018-2028.
