KPDN launches ez-TTPM app to streamline consumer claims, allowing digital filing and tracking without visiting offices physically.
SHAH ALAM: The Ministry of Domestic Trade and Cost of Living has officially launched the ez-TTPM application for the Malaysian Consumer Claims Tribunal.
Minister Datuk Armizan Mohd Ali said the app aims to enhance access to justice and simplify the consumer claims process through efficient digital technology.
“During the initial phase, the public can file claims, upload supporting documents, and track case status through the TTPM portal without visiting offices,” he told reporters after launching the 2025 KPDN Central Zone Carnival Tour and Buy Malaysian Goods Campaign at Dataran Kemerdekaan Shah Alam.
He added that the second phase involves the ez-TTPM app, which can be downloaded on smartphones or other smart devices.
Armizan noted this innovation would reduce costs, cut waiting times, and make justice more accessible, particularly for rural consumers.
From January 1 to November 14, 2025, a total of 9,203 claims worth RM77.2 million were filed through various TTPM complaint channels.
Of these, 6,881 cases have been successfully resolved.
“KPDN remains committed to providing fast, fair, and customer-friendly services aligned with the TTPM Client Charter,” he said.
He confirmed every claim would be registered on the same day it is filed, with hearings and resolutions within 60 days of the first hearing.
Armizan also announced the distribution trade sector recorded RM1.766 trillion in sales for 2024, a 5.5% increase from RM1.673 trillion in 2023.
According to the latest Department of Statistics Malaysia report, wholesale and retail trade sales reached RM1.381 trillion as of September 2025.
This compares to RM1.314 trillion during the same period in 2024.
The KPDN Central Zone Carnival and Buy Malaysian Goods Campaign, which began yesterday, is the final event after similar carnivals in Johor, Kedah, Pahang, Sabah, and Sarawak.
The three-day carnival concludes tomorrow and features the RAHMAH MADANI Sales Programme, including the Back to School initiative with discounted goods.
It also includes booths showcasing local products, entertainment performances, and informative exhibitions.
Strategic partners involved include Al-Ikhsan, Shell, Petronas, TikTok, ASTRO, and various government agencies.
“KPDN hopes exhibitors and visitors will fully utilise this platform to expand business networks and promote their brands,” Armizan said.
He added the event demonstrates Malaysia’s progressive, advanced, and sustainable domestic economic environment. – Bernama
