New houses for Keningau folks

KENINGAU: Three residents of Kampung Kota Ayangan here each received a house under the Sabah Maju Jaya (SMJ) and Sabah Land Development Board (SLDB) Programme, here, Tuesday.

The house keys were handed over by Assistant Minister of Works, Datuk Robert Tawik to Mazlinah Paulus, Norbert Paul Sauda and Mohd Azizan Masri.

Robert, who is also the Bingkor Assemblyman, thanked the State Government and SLDB for the housing assistance for the three villagers who also felt happy and comfortable when they were able to occupy the new houses that had been their dreams.

“I was informed that they and their family members were staying in dilapidated and uncomfortable houses,” he said.

They thanked Robert for helping solve their problems, especially their housing applications.

They also thanked the State Government and SLDB for their concern and attention to their welfare, especially to get a more comfortable house to live in.

Present at the event were Bingkor Community Development Officer, Tinus Majip, Pemaju Mukim Tuarid, Rahman Bidin, Kota Ayangan Village Chief, Musa Numan,

Chairman of the Village Development and Security Committee (JKKK), Jamatin Kuman, representatives of the District Office, Kamaruddin S. Latif and Boniventure Harry and the staff of the Bingkor Community Development Leaders Unit.
