New Lazio sports chief Angelo Fabiani has hinted Tottenham goalkeeper Hugo Lloris did not turn them down.
Lloris appeared all set to join Lazio last week, only for the move to fall through.
Fabiani explained: "There are operations that we try to get through at all costs.
"We are satisfied to have hired an excellent goalkeeper with moderate experience in Serie A, there are no regrets about players who didn't come.
"But nobody said 'no.' to Lazio."
