LEGO and Pokemon are possibly made for each other. One is a legendary Danish toy maker, known for outstanding examples of human creativity bringing the science of engineering and the art of sculpting together. The other is a massively successful media franchise from Japan that has made its eponymous creatures one of the biggest pop-culture phenomena. This is why excitement around its latest offerings in the collection is palpable.
With five unique sets, LEGO has officially expanded its Pokémon series with display models aimed at adult builders and serious collectors. The collection includes highly anticipated minifigures alongside popular Pokémon figures.
The new range follows the launch of LEGO Pokémon SMART Play sets earlier this year and continues the company’s multi-year collaboration, offering collectors and longtime fans more elaborate display pieces while expanding the collaborative universe.
“We know fans are thrilled to see the LEGO Pokémon world continue to grow within our portfolio,” said Julia Goldin, Chief Marketing and Product Officer at the LEGO Group. “Pokémon is such a beloved franchise with an incredibly passionate global community, and the response to our LEGO Pokémon sets so far has been extraordinary. We’re excited to keep delivering new and imaginative build experiences for fans of all ages and we can’t wait for them to enjoy what’s coming next.”
The previous collection included Pikachu, Bulbasaur, Charmander, Squirtle, Gengar, Eevee, Mew and others. The new lineup is headlined by Munchlax, the small but perenially hungry Pokémon that evolves into the popular Generation 1 icon Snorlax.
What are the five sets in the new LEGO Pokémon collection?
The five new additions to the collection are Munchlax, Rayquaza, Arcanine, Up-Scaled Red Minifigure, and Iconic Trainer Moments Poké Ball, the last of which has the most pieces and is the costliest.
Here’s more about each of them:
LEGO Pokémon Munchlax

Pieces: 757
Dimensions: 13 cm x 10 cm x 11 cm
Price: USD 69.99 (approximately RM285.04)
This LEGO creation perfectly captures the charming, playful personality of the adorable Normal-type Pokémon. The teal-blue-bodied figure sits on a tree stump and has movable arms and legs, apart from a rotatable head. Munchlax loves food; that explains an apple and two apple cores in the set.
LEGO Pokémon Rayquaza

Pieces: 1,083
Dimensions: 38cm x 28cm x 27cm
Price: USD 129.99 (approximately RM529.40)
LEGO recreates the Sky Pillar scene from the ‘Pokémon Omega Ruby’ and ‘Pokémon Alpha Sapphire’ video games for this large Pokémon named Rayquaza. In the Pokémon universe, Rayquaza is a super-ancient green flying dragon that eats meteoroids. The LEGO set comes with an exclusive minifigure of Pokémon trainer and Lorekeeper Zinnia.
LEGO Pokémon Arcanine

Pieces: 1,190
Dimensions: 17cm x 9cm x 28.6cm
Price: USD 109.99 (approximately RM447.94)
Arcanine is a fire-type Pokémon whose faithfully recreated LEGO version looks as majestic as the Kanto region’s magical creature. Its head, tail, legs, feet and mouth are moveable, allowing builders more freedom with Arcanine’s poses.
LEGO Pokémon Up-Scaled Red Minifigure

Pieces: 930
Dimensions: 22 cm x 17 cm x 12 cm
Price: USD 79.99 (approximately RM325.76)
This is the only set among the five with an age rating of 10+. It showcases Red, the Trainer, in his iconic red-and-blue wear, with a backpack and a Poké Ball in hand.
LEGO Pokémon Iconic Trainer Moments Poké Ball

Pieces: 2,339
Dimensions: 22cm x 24cm x 22cm
Price: USD 299.99 (approximately RM1,221.72)
Three minifigures of Pokémon trainers, Professor Oak, Red and a Picnicker, as well as Pikachu and Eevee figures, feature for the first time in a LEGO Pokémon collection. Lifting the upper half of the large Poké Ball reveals key settings from the franchise, including Professor Oak’s laboratory and a battle scene.
