New Mexico Attorney General Raúl Torrez filed a federal lawsuit against Jeffrey Epstein's attorney Darren Indyke and accountant Richard Kahn for allegedly “knowingly” participating in and concealing Epstein's sex trafficking operation.
The lawsuit, brought under federal racketeering and trafficking laws, names both men alongside Epstein's estate, where Indyke and Kahn serve as co-executors and beneficiaries.
According to the complaint, Indyke and Kahn authorized key financial transactions for Epstein's operation and received over $26 million combined between 2011 and 2019.
Torrez has also separately sued Donald Trump's Department of Justice, accusing it of obstructing access to unredacted investigation files regarding Epstein's Zorro Ranch in New Mexico.
In a statement to The Independent, lawyers for Indyke and Kahn called the lawsuit baseless. “Not a single woman has ever accused Mr. Indyke or Mr. Kahn of committing sexual abuse or witnessing sexual abuse, nor claimed at any time that she or anyone else reported to them any allegation of Mr. Epstein’s abuse,” the statement added. “The New Mexico Attorney General’s complaint does not allege anything to the contrary.”
