Malaysian-born comedian Nigel Ng, famous for his iconic character “Uncle Roger,” has announced that he is expecting his first child after confirming his wife Sabrina Ahmed’s pregnancy.
In a post on Instagram on Friday, Ng, shared the joyful news along with an ultrasound image of their baby also doubled as a festive greeting for Chinese New Year and the start of Ramadan, featured Ng and Ahmed in festive Chinese outfits.
“A new nephew is on the way! Happy Chinese New Year and Ramadan Mubarak,” he wrote, referring to the phrase “nieces and nephews” he often uses to address his fans.
The announcement attracted global attention, receiving thousands of congratulatory messages from fans and international celebrities, including renowned chef Gordon Ramsay.
Ng, who shot to worldwide fame through his viral “egg fried rice” cooking commentary videos, married Sabrina, an American-born lawyer, in a grand ceremony in Sintra, Portugal, on 19 July 2025.
It was reported that Ahmed had first saw Ng in person at one of his shows. They later matched on a dating app and had their first in-person meeting at Boston Airport.
They announced their engagement in March 2025 with an engagement photoshoot in the markets of Taipei, Taiwan.
