- President Donald Trump’s Karoline Leavitt replacement pick as press secretary took part in her first White House press briefing Tuesday morning.
- Press Secretary Katie Zacharia only took a few questions from the press before cutting the briefing short due to Trump’s scheduled travel.
- When asked how she was going to balance being a mother of four with her husband and kids living in California, Zacharia said her entire family will be moving out to D.C., but accidentally confused her husband with Trump.
- “This idea of not spending evenings with my kids is completely unacceptable, so my president ... uh excuse me, my husband is out here ...” Zacharia said.
- Clarifying, the press secretary made a joke out of it: “That’s a good one,” she said.
