
KENINGAU: Pastor Saniel Angkot has been elected as the new Sidang Injil Borneo (SIB) Keningau Zone Chairman for the 2025-2028 term at its recent annual general meeting.
Saniel secured the position after defeating incumbent Rev Omrinus Buril in the election held during the AGM.
Pastor Jos Gaupi was elected as Deputy Chairman, while the posts of Secretary and Treasurer went unopposed to Elder Alisther Sinteh and Elder Magnify Loasi, respectively.
Nine members were also elected to the committee – Elder Jeffrin Gutog, Elder Melitus Anastasius, Deacon Koroh Puar, Pastor Elim A, Elder Jully Sandalun, Elder Anthony Akin, Elder Majius Opon, Pastor Teony Kamansil and Deacon Ahuar Rasam.
Also appointed were Deaconess Lonnie Leku Siro (Women’s Ministry), Deacon Niel Solomin (Children’s Ministry), Deacon Donny Anak Sindan (Youth Ministry) and Deacon Tadias Lasat (Wira Ministry).
The AGM was chaired by Pastor Dison Kapong, who is also a General Council Member and Full-Time Worker Coordinator of SIB Sabah.
A total of 58 delegates representing local churches under the SIB Keningau Zone attended the meeting.
