- Newly released body-worn footage shows killer Vickrum Digwa lying to police about fatally stabbing 18-year-old Henry Nowak in December last year.
- Digwa, who was jailed for life with a minimum of 21 years, falsely claimed Mr Nowak had racially abused him and pulled off his turban, while feigning ignorance of Mr Nowak's injuries.
- The footage appears to corroborate claims that Digwa was not handcuffed, while the dying Mr Nowak was, which previously sparked public unrest.
- Hampshire Constabulary's temporary deputy chief constable apologised for the officers' actions, stating they were 'lied to' and unaware of Mr Nowak's injury.
- The Independent Office for Police Conduct is investigating Hampshire Police's response, and a jury inquest next year will examine if any police actions contributed to Mr Nowak's death.
