Newcastle United have passed on signing Juventus defender Merih Demiral.
The Turkey international has been offered to Newcastle.
But Atalanta have taken up a €20m option to buy him on a permanent basis.
Demiral spent last season with La Dea and was watched by Newcastle. But after contact was made, Newcastle passed on the deal.
Atalanta could yet to sell Demiral, though Newcastle won't be involved, says Chronicle Live.
