Newcastle United boss Eddie Howe says Alexander Isak is out of Sweden's World Cup campaign.
Howe does not expect his forward to feature for Newcastle until after the World Cup.
"Alex, we don't think we will see again before the World Cup. He has had a setback on his thigh," Howe said.
"It's very frustrating for him. As a new player coming to a new league and new club, you want to make an impact and he did in the first few games.
"He picked up the injury when he was away with Sweden and since then it's been frustrating because he did a lot of work to get fit. He's desperate to make his mark here.
"If you are trying to look for a positive we will look for his injury to heal and we will get a mini pre-season to get him in peak physical condition."
