Newcastle United will treat their Carabao Cup final similarly to a regular league game.
The Magpies are playing Manchester United on Sunday in the domestic cup competition showpiece event.
While United have a Europa League game on Thursday against Barcelona, the Magpies do have all week to prepare.
Howe, speaking at the club's media day, said: "We're keen to get the majority of the work done that's not focused on the game (media interviews) so I can focus on the football and the tactical side.
"It will be a normal preparation in terms of our training week. The lads trained really well today.
We will make our way to Wembley as we would do the day before the game. "Hopefully we will settle in quickly and get used to the surroundings."
