Newcastle boss Eddie Howe explained Alexander Isak's substitution in their 1-1 draw with Brighton.

Isak looked disappointed when taken off with 22 minutes to run.

Howe explained: "Alex wasn't feeling very well yesterday. So I took the decision to just look after him with a three-game week in mind.

"So that was the reason. With Callum (Wilson) it was also with illness and he was not feeling his best with his body."

Newcastle end the season with trips to Manchester United and Brentford.
