Newcastle United boss Eddie Howe has responded to questions about his team selection.
The Englishman is under a bit of pressure at the St. James' Park club for the first time since arriving over two years ago.
Howe, whose team lost 4-1 to Tottenham at the weekend, was asked about not using Lewis Hall in games and running captain Kieran Trippier into the ground.
On Hall, Howe told Chronicle Live: "I think Tino Livramento has been excellent at left-back. And Kieran's got his obvious qualities at right-back. That would be the reason. Lewis, when he comes on, has to perform well."
When asked why Trippier always played, he added: "When he's part of your biggest attacking threat every week, he's a very difficult one to leave out.
"Even today, Kieran had his moments where he produced some really good crosses, especially in the second half. He's just an outstanding technician, and we will certainly miss him against Fulham."
