Newcastle United highly-rated backroom member Mark Leyland has been poached.
The coaching analyst, who does both video analysis work and coaching under Eddie Howe, is now heading to Manchester City.
While Leyland will stay with Newcastle until the end of the term, he will then make the move to work under Pep Guardiola.
Praising Leyland, Howe said earlier this season: "Mark has had a big impact. He's played a huge part in what we've done this season.
"He's one of a number of people behind the scenes that have put a tireless amount of work in to try and improve the team. We love him to bits and he's been an integral part of our team."
The ex-Liverpool man also earned praise from their boss Jurgen Klopp when he left for Newcastle: "They signed one of our analysts (Mark Leyland). For sure, he has played a big part as well."
