Newcastle United boss Eddie Howe has cooled talk of Allan Saint-Maximin leaving this summer.
The winger scored a goal and made an assist in Newcastle's 3-2 win against Gateshead on Saturday.
Asked if he expected to keep the Frenchman, Howe was adamant.
"Definitely," the Newcastle boss told reporters. "I love Allan.
"I've said that many times. You see his quality today. When he went to his best position as a left winger, he was excellent. He took his goal really well. He's come back in a good place mentally. I'm very pleased with him."
