Newcastle boss Eddie Howe has explained holding back Lewis Hall.
The wing-back is on-loan at Newcastle from Chelsea, but has been missing in recent weeks.
Howe said: "He has settled in fine and is working well - he just needs to develop certain areas of his game, but I have got no doubt about his quality.
"We brought him in for the here and now, but also the future. My view is to have a bit of patience.
"His transfer is slightly complicated in terms of structure, so he has not quite hit the requirements yet, but I am sure he will play a big part for us in the coming weeks and is definitely part of our long-term plans."
