Toon goalkeeper coach Shwan Jalal has suffered a knee injury this week.
Jalal, the 40-year-old former Bournemouth goalkeeper, has suffered a serious knee injury, which will keep him out of action at least until the next pre-season.
Newcastle now may seek a new temporary coaching addition to assist on pitch training.
The Toon's No1 Nick Pope is currently out with a shoulder injury.
