Newcastle United manager Eddie Howe will call for somebody to step up into Joelinton's place in midfield this weekend.
The Brazilian has a two-match ban as a result of a booking he picked up against Manchester City.
He will not be seen until after the international break for the Magpies this season.
Asked about his midfield, as a result of the Joelinton ban, Howe said to reporters: "We're certainly going to miss him.
"Given the two games we've got before the international break, that's going to be a long absence for him.
I thought it was a harsh booking for him and he plays on the edge, he's a fierce competitor."
