Newcastle captain Jamaal Lascelles was involved in a brawl in the city on a night out.
The 29-year-old, who is on the fringes of the first team but still club captain, took a punch to the head.
Lascelles is also said to have thrown a punch, while he was even threatened with a gun at one stage.
Per The Mail, officers from Northumbria Police were called to calm down the situation.
The incident is said to have occurred on Saturday night and early Sunday morning.
It appears Lascelles and his brother had just left nightclub Chinawhite when the incident occurred.
