Newcastle United captain Jamaal Lascelles has given his verdict on the international selection of his teammates.
Lascelles received a name check from England boss Gareth Southgate before this month's internationals, even though he did not get into the squad.
Dan Burn, Sean Longstaff and Anthony Gordon are others who may get call ups in the near future.
Lascelles told Chronicle Live: "Players like Dan Burn, Sean Longstaff as a number eight, with England playing 4-3-3 and Anthony Gordon.
"Gordon for me has to. For me, he is phenomenal. It's up to the manager. We can talk about it but it's really up to him."
On himself, he added: "Me? I didn't know that. I didn't realise he mentioned me. That's good news and good to hear."
