Newcastle United captain Kieran Trippier says the interest from Bayern Munich was flattering.
Trippier has seen multiple offers from Bayern rejected by Newcastle, with their pursuit now over.
He said, "It's over. I am connected to the club, they have done a lot for me and I would like to give something back.
"At my age, I can only take it (Bayern's interest) as a compliment. I'm here now and I want to give everything for Newcastle.
"I'm experienced and I try to block out all the noise."
