Newcastle United chairman Yasir Al Rumayyan was in the United Kingdom on Tuesday.

The London Stock Exchange (LSG) listed the the first-ever green bond that has been issued by the Saudi Arabian Public Investment Fund.

It is the first time that the Uk has listed a bond from a sovereign wealth fund.

The PIF is behind the recent takeover of Newcastle United.

Rumayyan was at the Market Open Ceremony only a few days after the one-year anniversary of their takeover of the Magpies from Mike Ashley.

Per the Financial Times, the Saudi sovereign wealth fund had committed more than $2 billion to long-term football sponsorship deals this year.
