Newcastle football chief Dan Ashworth says they'll aim to be active in the January market.
The Toon will seek a replacement for suspended midfielder Sandro Tonali.
"I feel pressure on every transfer and I have done for 16 years," he said.
"I am spending someone else's money and I want to do the best job I can for that person, football club and those supporters."
In terms of working the Saudi transfer market, Ashworth added: "No, I don't feel that at all.
"We have got to do what is best for this football club and get the best players we possibly can for the budget we have got, and that is what my job is."
