Newcastle United are closing on a deal for Odense winger Yankuba Minteh.

The Gambian is set to move to Tyneside for a fee of 7-8m. He was left out of Odense's clash with FC Midtjylland last week amid talk of his transfer being imminent.
Bjorn Wesstrom, the club's director of football, revealed: "It is a difficult decision, but with the risks and opportunities in this case, I have concluded that it is overall the best decision for OB that he sit out the match against FC Midtjylland."
Minteh joined OB from Steve Biko FC in his native Gambia a year ago.
