Newcastle United co-owner Jamie Reuben lavished praise on the club's supporters.
The Magpies' fans were at their loudest at Wembley in the Carabao Cup final against Manchester United.
Despite the vociferous support, Newcastle were unable to get the result their supporters wanted, losing 2-0 to the Red Devils.
Post-game, Reuben wrote on Twitter: "This is why we are the best club in the world - thank you.
Don't doubt we will be back - stronger and better @NUFC."
Newcastle are still in the race to finish in the Premier League top four, which would give them qualification for next season's Champions League.
