Crystal Palace defender Joachim Andersen is wanted by Newcastle United and another Premier League team.
Per journalist Ed Aarons, the Magpies will not have a free run at Andersen this summer.
Newcastle were hoping to quickly secure the signature of the center half, who Palace rate very highly.
However, the London club are hoping to secure at least 40 million for his signature.
In addition, Newcastle will have to compete with another top six" club in England for his signing.
Aarons has not indicated the identity of the other club, which may be Manchester United, Tottenham, Liverpool, or Manchester City based on their respective needs for a new defender.
