Real Valladolid right-back Ivan Fresneda could be heading to the Premier League.
The defender's agent, Luis Bardaji, has posted on Instagram that he is flying to London.
Newcastle's head of recruitment, Steve Nickson, recently went to watch Fresneda in La Liga against Real Madrid on December 30th.
He even sat next to the player's agent at that game, but Chronicle Live states there has been little news about a transfer since.
Now that Bardaji is heading to England, there may be a chance that Magpies fans hear an update on the situation.
There is still time in the January window to get a deal done, but the transfer may be more likely to happen in the summer.
