Newcastle goalkeeper Nick Pope insists last night's penalty conceded to PSG was undeserved.

Kylian Mbappe converted an injury-time spotkick for the 1-1 Champions League draw after Tino Livramento was penalised for a handball.

Pope later said: "My opinion is that there is clearly no penalty.

"It is obvious that the ball first hit [Tino Livramento's] body. And then his elbow. It's really very close. I don't see how it's a penalty.

"I have been playing football for a long time and have watched a lot of matches. I think that if it's a penalty that we give today, it's bad for football."
