Newcastle midfielder Joelinton was delighted with his double in victory at West Ham.
The visitors won 5-1 in London on Wednesday night.
Joelinton later said: "Massive win. Well played by the whole team. We started the game really well. We stopped playing a bit and let them come back into it. But we came to the second half better.
"I'm very happy to win today. Five goals is great.
"Thank you God it wasn't [offside]. Over the moon. Very pleased with two goals to help the team.
"We knew it would be a difficult game. We had to keep going with the three points.
"It's very important to score goals. We kept going. Most important was the three points. Now it's rest and then the next game.
"To the end we have to try to win every game if we want the Champions League. Hope at the end we finish in the top four."
