The stopper is a top target for Arsenal amid claims they have assured the player of an end of season move for him.
However, O Jogo says Newcastle aren't about to stand aside.

As such, a January bid from Newcastle is now looking more and more likely. The player's contract carries a buyout clause of 80m.
