Newcastle United are considering a transfer deal to move out Sean Longstaff in the coming weeks.
The Magpies are hoping to add new players to bolster manager Eddie Howe's squad.
Per The Sun, Financial Fair Play guidelines mean the club is a little hamstrung in the moves they can make.
Now it appears that Longstaff, who is homegrown, may be sacrificed to showcase more profits.
Homegrown players do not cost the club any money to sign, which means they are put in as pure profit on the books for that year.
Longstaff, however, is a key player for manager Howe and may not be easy to sell.
