Newcastle have opened talks with West Ham today for fullback Harrison Ashby.
Ashby, 20, has been tipped for a bright future after impressing under Hammers boss David Moyes.
Ashby's contract at West Ham was set to expire this summer but the club activated the one-year option as they are reluctant to let their starlet leave.
Newcastle have moved for the defender after seeing Emil Krafth, who has suffered an ACL injury.
