Both Newcastle United and Peterborough could earn extra transfer income this winter.

The two clubs had sell-on clauses inserted into transfer deals for striker Ivan Toney.

The Brentford forward is wanted by Chelsea, Arsenal, Tottenham, and Manchester United.

Per Sky Sports, Posh would get 30 percent of any fee, as that was part of the deal that took him to Brentford in 2020.

In addition, Newcastle will get 30 percent of the amount that Peterborough receive, having sold Toney two years previous.

The forward has not made up his mind about his future, but does want to play in the Champions League.
