Newcastle United are being linked to the Championship's brightest prospects this winter.
The Magpies are set to put in a bid for Blackburn Rovers midfielder Adam Wharton when the transfer window opens.
Wharton has impressed hugely under the guidance of Jon Dahl Tomasson at Ewood Park, playing 11 times this season.
Per the Sunderland Echo, the 19-year-old will be targeted by several Premier League and Championship clubs.
