Newcastle United captain Jamaal Lascelles could be in line to remain at the club.
The skipper was linked with a move away from the club, primarily to Turkish side Besiktas.
However, journalist Gkmen zcan believes a deal is now off, given the transfer window is nearing its conclusion.
He wrote on Twitter: "The book of Jamaal Lascelles in Beikta is closed. The Premier League team asked for 3 million Euros. Beikta responded negatively."
Newcastle were willing to let Lascelles leave, but only if they got some money in return.
Instead, they will use him as a rotational option through to the end of the season.
