Newcastle United are ready to hand England goalkeeper Nick Pope a new contract.
The Sun says Newcastle will be extending his current deal and will raise his current wage to bring his contract in line with many other top keepers around the league.
The newspaper reports that Pope's base salary is currently around 60,000-per-week, and with appearance money, clean sheet bonuses, and win bonuses his weekly wage totals out at around 100,000.
The Geordies are now looking to up his basic salary to 100,000-per-week before any add-ons have been included.
The shot-stopper signed for Newcastle from Burnley last summer for a fee of 12m, signing a four-year deal on his arrival.
