Newcastle United and Real Madrid are chasing Santos striker Marcos Leonardo.
Leonardo expects Santos to sell him in January after a summer move to Roma was blocked.
Roma remain keen, but they now face stiff competition from Newcastle and Real with Santos wanting 20m to sell.
Leonardo confirmed: "What happened hurts me and the club.
"The president had promised me and he knew I would leave in this window, but it's okay now, everything is resolved."
