Premier League interest is growing in Bayer Leverkusen midfielder Exequiel Palacios.
TNT Sports says Newcastle have joined the scramble this week after Sandro Tonali's betting ban was confirmed in Italy.
Aston Villa and Manchester City are also eyeing the Argentina international for the winter market.
Palacios, 25, recently penned a new contract with Bayer to 2028.
However, Bayer can be persuaded to sell the midfielder in January for the right price.
