Newcastle striker Alexander Isak was delighted after their thumping win against Aston Villa.
Isak struck twice in the 5-1 win.
He later said: "Maybe if you look at the score. It's the first game of the season, they can be a bit tight. We wanted to give a good first impression, win the game, be very positive that we managed to score so many goals.
"Yeah for sure (I feel stronger). I had some trouble last season. I feel good now, got a good start and hopefully I can stay fit and keep going this way.
"It is the first game of the season so we need to take one game at a time. We now look at City and that's what we can focus on."
