- Newcastle have confirmed midfielder Lewis Miley will miss the rest of the season due to injury.
- The Premier League club announced that Miley fractured his fibula in his right leg during training on Tuesday.
- Miley is set to see a specialist consultant on Wednesday, and Newcastle stated that he is “expected to return for the start of pre-season”.
- Miley has made 34 appearances across all competitions for Newcastle this season, and has shown his versatility by filling in at right-back, as well as playing in his usual midfield position.
- His absence could see Kieran Trippier come back into Newcastle’s starting line-up for the club’s last three fixtures before he leaves St James’ Park this summer.
