Newcastle United striker Alexander Isak is confident he can handle his record £60m price-tag.
Isak was handed his Newcastle debut in the midweek defeat at Liverpool, and opened the scoring with an emphatic strike past Alisson. The summer signing found the net for a second time, only to see the effort chalked off following a tight VAR offside call.
Isak is adamant the record transfer fee and the 'wonderkid' tag which has followed him for several seasons will not affect him as he aims to make an impact in the Premier League.
He told NUFC TV: "I haven't really thought too much about the labels that people put. I feel even though I'm quite young, I've been in the business for quite a long time and been in a few different countries to experience different things"
Isak was also asked about his knowledge of all-time record goalscorer Alan Shearer, who inevitably sets the standard for all Newcastle strikers to follow in his footsteps.
He added: "Of course, he's a legend here and in the Premier League. I've been texting a bit with him, I'm hoping we'll get a chance to speak as well."
