Newcastle United striker Callum Wilson was delighted after victory over Southampton.
Wilson struck twice in the 3-1 win.
He later said: "Things are going well, competition helps, drives and motives you to not get complacent. It's a season where I've been fit for long periods of time, got 15 goals and feel like I should be on more. Previous seasons obviously haven't been good enough if 15 is my best.
"Everybody wants to be starting, I understand we had a game a few days ago, keep my legs fresh so you can't really complain.
"Keeping our feet on the ground, taking one game at a time. Nobody at the start of the season would have had us in this position as late as it is. There's still a lot of work to do and we've got 5 games to do it in."
Asked about Arsenal next up, he added: "I think they're a top team, we've played them already and it was a tough game at their place. The atmosphere up here makes it difficult for teams. We've got to create that atmosphere, give the fans something to get up for.
