Newcastle United are interested in Ajax midfielder Edson Alvarez.
TUDN says Newcastle are preparing a €40m offer for the Mexico international.
Ajax have already rejected a €30m bid from Newcastle for the 24 year-old.
Alvarez moved to Ajax in 2019 from Club America for €15m.
The ball-winning midfielder has a deal to 2025.
