Newcastle United winger Elliot Anderson is battling to make next Saturday's trip to Fulham.
The playmaker was withdrawn from Scotland's Under-21' double header with Northern Ireland this week and the Magpies are monitoring the 19-year-old closely for next weekend.
Anderson did not even appear on the subs bench in the 1-1 draw against AFC Bournemouth.
It is understood that Anderson has a grade one hamstring injury which usually takes three weeks to recover from depending on the severity of the strain, says Chronicle Live.
Despite the international break, the two week gap in Premier League fixtures has been a busy period for Newcastle's medical team.
