The attacker, who signed from Everton last season, felt as though he had a bad knee injury.
However, The Mail states that scans have revealed that Gordon's problem is not as bad as first feared.
There is a chance he may be back in full training within a matter of a few days.
Gordon came off during the team's 3-2 loss to Chelsea in the Premier League on Monday.
Manager Eddie Howe admitted post-game that he feared the worst over the injury.
