Newcastle United winger Anthony Gordon insists he and manager Eddie Howe are on good terms.

Gordon isn't one to happily accept being substituted and clashed with Howe last season at Brentford.

But after scoring in victory over Crystal Palace, Gordon told Sky Sports: "It's definitely the past.

"We've definitely moved on from it. We have got a great relationship now.

"We're in a really good place, but I learned so much from that. It's crazy. At the time, I was so negative about it. I never thought it would end up being a positive, but you realise as you get older that going through negative things, they always somehow turn into a positive because you learn more. You become more experienced.

"Obviously, I wouldn't like to do it again. I'll never do it again - that's a fact - but we have made it a positive and it's only bettered our relationship."
